President Mnangagwa has signed the book of condolences for the late former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga.
Mr Odinga died last week.
In an interview after signing the book, the President said current and future leaders will emulate the nationalist character demonstrated by luminaries like Mr Odinga and the founding fathers of the African union (AU).
“He was indeed a revolutionary. We respect him.
“I believe that the current leaders of Africa and those who come after us will take a cue from the foundations built by the founding fathers of the AU.
“We are following the steps and the vision he created alongside other luminaries like Kenneth Kaunda, Jomo Kenyatta, Julius Nyerere, and so on.
“We are just walking in their footsteps,” said President Mnangagwa.
