President Mnangagwa is scheduled to meet an eight-member delegation of Permanent Representatives to the United Nations today.

The delegation is currently in Zimbabwe for a high-level familiarisation tour.

Their visit comes as the country intensifies its campaign for a bid to secure a United Nations Security Council non-permanent seat for the term 2027–2028.

Before their courtesy call on the President today, the delegation, which arrived in the country shortly after midnight yesterday, visited the National Heroes Acre and the SADC Regional Peacekeeping Training Centre.

They also attended a lecture at the Zimbabwe National Defence University (ZNDU) before meeting Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira.
