President Mnangagwa has arrived at Cresta Lodge for the official opening of the inaugural Climate and Health Africa Conference (CHAC 2024).

The conference kicked off on Tuesday with various presentations by researchers on the impact of climate change on the health and wellbeing of people.

It is a crucial event that signifies Africa’s entry into the global dialogue on the intersection of climate change and health.

CHAC 2024 aims to address the urgent need to tackle the detrimental health impacts of climate change on health and wellbeing in Africa, where the burden of climate-sensitive diseases is disproportionately high, and adaptive capacities are limited.
