PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA visionary leadership has created opportunities for indigenous entrepreneurs to thrive and contribute to Zimbabwe’s national infrastructure development.
This was said by TandA Drilling and Blasting managing director Mr Kundai Chidamba during an event to mark the company’s 10th anniversary.
Empowering local businesses, he said, played a crucial role in the country’s development.
“It is without doubt that Vision 2030 is a game-changer and is poised to be successful. We, as local entrepreneurs, support His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa’s vision of turning the country into an upper middle-income economy,: said Mr Chidamba.
Mnangagwa’s administration has popularised the mantra “nyika inovakwa nevene vayo”, which is premised on putting locals at the centre of development.
This philosophy has encouraged local enterprises to participate in developmental programmes aimed at achieving the Government’s goal of a modern, empowered and highly industrialised country by 2030.
TandA Drilling and Blasting, which specialises in drilling, blasting and contract mining, has been involved in several major Government projects, including work on Sengwa Dam in Rushinga, Mashonaland Central province, and the rehabilitation of the Harare-Masvingo highway.
Mr Chidamba emphasised the importance of local businesses in supporting the Government’s initiatives.
“It is the President’s wisdom that Zimbabwe’s challenges, no matter how insurmountable they might seem, can only be solved by sons and daughters of the soil,” he added.
“We have been involved in major national projects that we feel will go a long way in capacitating local communities.”
