Candidates and polling agents from ZANU PF’s recent primary elections in Sanyati District, say they are now ready to work together and deliver five million votes for President Mnangagwa and the revolutionary party.
They said this during a voter mobilisation rally held at Nyamatani Primary School in Chakari Constituency over the weekend.
The event was organised by a group of young entrepreneurs under the banner Men BelievED, which is a ZANU PF affiliate.
Candidates who participated in the recent primary elections said the internal process had come and gone, and they now have to work together to deliver five million votes for the President and Zanu PF.
Cde Farai Gonde, a polling agent for a candidate whose victory is awaiting confirmation by the Politburo, said after the polls, agents from all the participating candidates have since joined hands and are now campaigning for the President.
“After the polls, we buried our differences and have been working together well. We are a unified force and promise to deliver a resounding victory for all our general elections candidates,” he said.
Cde Khumbula Marongwe, the Kuwadzana district chairman and Sanyati’s Ward 8 aspiring candidate who lost in the primary elections, said he will try his luck in 2028.
“The outcome of the primary elections will not affect us. I lost the election but I am not bitter; it was an internal process where one has to triumph,” he said.
Ward 13 losing candidate, Cde Philimon Revai Chihohwa, said he holds no grudges against those that insulted him during the campaign period, and will always be available to mobilise voters for President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF.
Ward 8 Clr Kudzai Muchineripi Chatikobo, who won the internal polls to represent the party for the fourth time, also called for peace.
Nyamatani district chairman, Cde Tichaona Muza, who also lost in the primary elections, called for peace and urged all ZANU PF members to work for the party.
Men BelievED founder, Cde Justice Matsatsira, challenged all primary election candidates to vigorously campaign for President Mnangagwa.
“As Men BelievED, we rally behind the President and our call today is that winning and losing candidates should work together for a resounding victory,” he said.
