A day after scoring his seventh goal for Azam in the Vodacom Tanzania Mainland Premier League, Prince has been called up to the Warriors squad for next month’s Africa Cup of Nations matches against Botswana and Zambia.

Dube’s club announced on Friday that the 24 year old has been called to the Warriors squad for the two matches. Zimbabwe travel to Botswana before they round off their qualification process days later at home.

“Our striker, Prince Dube, has been included in the Zimbabwe national team Warriors which will play two African Nations matches next month. Warriors trained by Zdravko Logarusic, will play in against Botswana March 25 before returning home to Harare town to beat Zambia March 29. Congrats! Prince Dube (@mgadafiprince.73),” posted Azam on social media.

In November last year, Dube proved Logarusic wrong when he scored shortly after being introduced in the second to earn Zimbabwe a 2-2 against Algeria at the NSS. Logarusic had kept the former Highlanders striker on the bench in Algeria, a match Zimbabwe lost 3-1.

Dube has scored seven league goals and provided five assists for Azam who are third on the log with 36 points, six behind second placed Simba and trail log leaders Young Africans by 10 points.
