A SELF-STYLED prophet is on the run for raping a 14-year-old student.
Madzibaba Marufu lured the teenager, who was a member of his church, into his house where he allegedly raped her.
He then gave her a pill soon after the unholy act.

Sometime in September 2023, the teenager was at the church where Madzibaba Marufu was conducting a prophetic session.
Madzibaba Marufu advised her to bring a few groceries for a cleansing ceremony.
The teenager went home and advised her mother about the request.
The mother suggested to Madzibaba Marufu that her daughter would carry out house chores, at his house, in place of the groceries since she had no money.
Madzibaba Marufu agreed and invited the teenager to do the house chores.
He then asked the teenager to pack his clothes in his bedroom and soon after followed him there and raped her.
On April 9, the teenager moved away from Hatcliffe and disclosed the sexual attack to her aunt.
Madzibaba Marufu fled the neighbourhood and hasn’t been seen since. Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the case. He appealed for information that may lead to the arrest of Madzibaba Marufu.
“Police are investigating a rape case involving a minor child and a local self-styled prophet in Hatcliffe Extension.
“The prophet is yet to be located,” said Insp Chakanza.
