Proton Bakers has reaffirmed its commitment to meeting customer demands through quality products and continuous engagement with key stakeholders.
The company is one of the top local firms exhibiting at the ongoing 65th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo where it is showcasing its unique products.
Speaking at their stand, chief sales officer, Mr Daniel Chipato, said Proton’s competitive edge lies in the superior quality of its products and the dedication of its workforce.
“We thrive on our excellent quality, it actually runs in our DNA. We ensure we have the best raw materials, and a highly-skilled workforce that delivers exceptional service,” he said.
“That’s what sets us apart and keeps our consumers satisfied.”
Mr Chipato said the company has introduced a latest product, the Proton Rock Bun, which he said is a direct response to market demand.
He revealed that more new offerings are on the way, aimed at meeting the evolving needs of the company’s growing customer base.
“We are committed to bringing more products in line with what customers require us to deliver,” said the official.
According to Mr Chipato, the company’s customer engagement is made easier by the consistent quality of its products, which fosters loyalty among consumers.
He attributed Proton’s sustained quality to its continuous staff development initiatives.
“Our staff are constantly improving because we often take them for retraining,” he explained. “Recently, our marketing team underwent a refresher course with the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe. We also work with various institutions to sharpen the skills of our employees.”
Mr Chipato highlighted some of the company’s recent product enhancements, including the improved Hamburger Roll and Crusted Roll, and assured clients that more innovations are on the horizon for customers to enjoy.
Proud of the company’s role in supporting national development, Mr Chipato said Proton currently employs 1 500 workers, with 400 based in Bulawayo.
“This makes us happy as we are contributing to industrialisation by serving communities with both our products and employment opportunities,” he said.
Mr Chipato extended gratitude to the people of Bulawayo and the Matabeleland region for their continued loyalty to the Proton brand, saying their support plays a crucial role in the company’s ongoing success.
