THE Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (PSL) will beginning on Saturday take a break to pave way for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and Cosafa Men’s finals.
In a statement, PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare said only one rescheduled match between Herentals and Bikita Minerals will be played on Saturday.
“This serves to advise that the Premier Soccer League will be taking a break from June 1 2024 to accommodate the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qualifiers and the Cosafa Men’s Championships.
During this period, only one rescheduled fixture between Herentals and Bikita Minerals will be played at Rufaro Stadium. The Castle Lager matches will resume on June 22, 2024,” wrote Bare.
Fourteen rounds of play have so far been played in the local Premiership with Manica Diamonds sitting on the apex of the log standings with 29 points.
The Warriors will play Lesotho on June 7 at Orlando Stadium in South Africa before traveling to face off South Africa on June 11 at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.
The Warriors will play against Nigeria in Rwanda in their second campaign match.
