PSL postpones weekend fixtures

Cape Town — The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has postponed four of this weekend’s scheduled PSL fixtures. The move has been necessitated by the late arrival of the senior national team, Bafana Bafana, who are now scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

PSL Chief Executive, Brand de Villiers said: “We have had to reschedule this weekend’s Absa Premiership fixtures because of circumstances beyond our control. We would like to thank our sponsors, Absa and broadcast rights holders for their understanding and cooperation.

“We would like to also apologise to the football supporters who had already purchased tickets and made arrangements to attend the affected fixtures.”

The fixture between Lamontville Golden Arrows vs Bloemfontein Celtic at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday will go ahead as planned, whilst a decision on the Mamelodi Sundowns vs Polokwane City fixture has not yet been finalised.

The PSL has set aside Tuesday, 27 and Wednesday October 28, 2015 as catch up dates. Kick-off will be at 19:30. — Sport24
