THE next Zifa Congress will see the issue of 18 Premiership clubs resolved.
According to the Zifa constitution, the PSL provides 16 councillors to the Zifa Assembly yet the League has 18 teams.

In response to Fiso Siziba the Highlanders vice chairman’s question, the Zifa Normalisation Committee’s Nyasha Samanyandwe said the matter would be resolved at the next Zifa Congress.
The number was increased to 18 some years ago after it was felt relegating four teams in a 16-team league which accounted for 25 percent of the membership was not on.
Samanyandwe delivered a paper on structure, organisation and compliance, key components of football corporate governance.
