TONIGHT, Pub Choir is throwing a concert that’s going to be a blast from the past and a toe-tapping good time all rolled into one.  The concert is themed “Urban Grooves meets Reggae Roots,” and it’s a unique blend of two musical styles.

The soulful vibes of reggae will be mixed with the energetic beats of urban grooves, creating a sound that celebrates Zimbabwe’s rich music industry. Whether you are a die-hard reggae fan or love to move to urban grooves (or both), this concert is for you.

Simbai “Zey” Nicholas said ZITF Hall 2 will be transformed into a haven for music lovers, young and old.

“As promised, Pub Choir is returning today with the Urban Grooves (Paper 2) concert. The title of the show is Urban Grooves meets Reggae Roots. Our old school Reggae fans are in for a treat as we merge the two themes into one epic show. And since we will be celebrating our local Urban Groovers, what better way to show our appreciation than dressing up as they did back in the day?” said Zey.

Zey encouraged attendees to embrace the event’s street vibe, welcoming bandanas, shades, and a touch of 90s flair with baggy jeans.

“29 June is not just a concert; it’s a chance to relive the golden age of urban music fashion. If you have a bandana, black shades, hipsters and baggy jeans then Saturday (today) is your opportunity to rock them on as we dance the night away,” said Zey.

Bulawayo’s own Outfit Band will add to the excitement as they will be on stage, providing the instrumental sound.

“With the Outfit Band gracing the stage it’s bound to be fireworks all over again,” said Zey.
