SOMVUBU Secondary School headmaster is happy that they were able to recover and get the Matabeleland North secondary schools athletics championships going on Wednesday morning.
With all set and lanes and pits ready, Inyathi was pounded by heavy rains that nearly derailed the event.
Khumbulani Sibanda was elated with the turnout of teams and fans too.
Winners of the Wednesday and Thursday event will represent the province at the national finals.
Sibanda said as hosts they are looking forward to a good meet.
