“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.” — Psalm 30:11-12
JUST as the Lord visits His people and turns their sorrow into dancing and their mourning into laughter, we are called to be agents of hope and joy in a world filled with pain and suffering.
Cancer may seem like an insurmountable mountain, but with faith, we know we can move it.
As we prepare for the Zimpapers Cancer Power Walk 2025, let us be reminded that our faith is not just a feeling, but an action-oriented trust in God’s power and goodness.
We are celebrating 10 years of supporting cancer patients and research, and we are deeply encouraged by the Psalmist’s words.
As we gather at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare, Chronicle House in Bulawayo, Civic Centre in Masvingo, Mutare Motoring Club, OK Mart in Gweru and Chinhoyi Caves in Chinhoyi, let us come together with faith, hope and joy.
Let us support each other, and everyone affected by cancer.
We are truly grateful to the individuals and corporates already registering to participate and donating towards this cause. Your support is a testament to the power of faith in action.
Beloved ones, our faith is a powerful force that can move mountains.
Jesus reminds us: “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)
Let us pray: Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of faith that moves mountains. We ask that you bless the Zimpapers Cancer Power Walk 2025 and that it may bring hope, joy and healing to many. May our participation be a reflection of our trust in your power and goodness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
