Rank chaos: Gang granted bail

reportedly attacked kombi drivers there, have been granted bail.
The group demanded US$1 from each driver at the rank.

Police arrested eight of them Francis Chako, Edson Marondera, Ngoni Lancelot, Sharon Mashamba, Richard Moyo, Thembelani Mpofu, Martin Savanhu and Misheck Gurira.
The others escaped.

Yesterday, Harare magistrate Mr Archie Wochiunga granted the eight US$100 bail each coupled with stringent conditions and remanded them to October 13 for trial. As part of the bail terms, they were ordered not interfere with State witnesses.

They are also required to report at Harare Central Police Station every Friday and continue residing at their given addresses until the matter is finalised.
Mr Everson Chatambudza is representing them.
Prosecutor Ms Memory Mukapa alleges that on Monday this week, the eight went to the rank and beat up drivers who refused to pay them.
