Rautenbach guns for podium finish in Dakar Rally

ZIMBABWE’s top racer Conrad Rautenbach is on the cusp of attaining a podium finish ahead of the final stage of the 2020 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia today.

Rautenbach (35), who races under PH-Sport, yesterday claimed third spot in the SSV Class in the penultimate round of the race.

Ably aided by co-driver Pedro Bianchi Prata of Portugal, the Zimbabwean motor rally champion managed to finish the 744km Stage 11 in 5hours, 12 minutes and 27 seconds; and came home 12 minutes and 36 seconds behind winners Francisco Lopez and Juan Pablo Latrach Vinagre, both of Chile.
