Rauzhi wants to enjoy himself at Highlanders

NEVER Rauzhi the Bulawayo Chiefs’ six-goal hero wants to enjoy himself at Highlanders, he officially joined yesterday. Rauzhi was part of the Bulawayo Chiefs side that edged a fighting Greenfuel 2-1 at Luveve Stadium, in an exciting match.

He was a constant threat to the opposition and was pulled out later in the game as he continued to harass opponents at will with his pace and skill.

Speaking to Zimpapers Sports Hub after the match, Rauzhi said: “Eeh I want to enjoy myself, scoring is an opportunity, the important thing is to win.”

He described his stay at Bulawayo Chiefs as good.

Rauzhi praised his coach, Thulani Sibanda and said he was the main reason why he opted for Highlanders despite interest from FC Platinum, Dynamos and Simba Bhora. He said Sibanda brought him from Triangle in the Eastern Lowveld and he felt it a good thing to stay on and end the season in Bulawayo.

“It was good, they were understanding. It was good working with them. Will meet new characters at Bosso, will do my best.

“I came here to start my services, have had good support here, I wanted to end my season here (in Bulawayo), it’s a big team, I must work hard,” said Rauzhi as Bulawayo Chiefs and Highlanders fans mobbed him.

Bulawayo Chiefs had last week announced the transfer of Rauzhi while Bosso kept quiet. Highlanders went on to release information that they had lured Nqobile Ndlovu from Botswana. That had cast doubts on the deal.

Highlanders’ chief executive officer, Sihlangu Dlodlo who watched the match at Luveve Stadium and appeared to enjoy every touch the player made, confirmed that they had lured Rauzhi up to the end of the season.

“It’s like he is moving from home to home, Bulawayo Chiefs’ supporters are also Highlanders supporters,” said Dlodlo.

Dlodlo also hinted that there could be some exits and more arrivals by Wednesday this week. Bulawayo Chiefs coach, Sibanda, an unsung hero who keeps losing players and rebuilding with an amazing eye for raw talent, said sadly for Bosso, Rauzhi will not be in action when the two sides meet in two weeks time.

“The agreement is he will not feature against us,” said the soft-spoken gaffer.
