ZIMBABWE Cricket star all-rounder Sikandar Raza is confident that they will be able to turn the tables around with his Pakistan Super League (PSL) outfit Lahore Qalandars after their worst possible start to their title defense.

The two-time defending champions find themselves in all sorts of trouble, languishing at the bottom of the 2024 PSL standings with zero points after losing all the six matches they have played so far. They have been virtually knocked out of the title race.

Despite losing six on the trot, the Chevrons ace has thanked their faithful fans for sticking with them throughout this difficult patch that they are presently facing and has assured them that results will soon come.

Raza took to social media to encourage the Lahore Qalandars faithful that they are working hard all the time and the tables will soon turn and get back to winning ways. Lahore Qalandars are the only team to yet taste victory in the ninth edition of the PSL.

He added that they feel the same pain that the fans are feeling at the moment.

“Thank you Lahore for the love and support even in difficult times, its much appreciated. We are aware that you are hurt and so we are but we are proud of the fact that you all have stuck with the team. We are trying and giving our best; Inshallah things will turn around,” Raza posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Following the conclusion of the first leg of the tournament, Raza and Lahore Qalandars’ next assignment is against Peshawar Zalmi in Rawalpindi this Saturday. After the clash against Peshawar Zalmi, they will go on to face Islamabad United, Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators.

In their previous encounter,                              Raza and Lahore Qalandars                       suffered a 60-runs defeat at the hands of log leaders Multan Sultans on Tuesday.

In their Tuesday game, Qalandars were asked to bowl first and the Chevrons stalwart picked up his second wicket of the tournament as they restricted their                                                                        opponents to 214/4 in 20 overs before going on to crumble to 154 runs all out in 17 overs.
