Redcliff landlord jailed four months for indecently assaulting his tenant

A 31-year-old man from Millennium Park in Redcliff has been jailed for four months for indecently assaulting a tenant at his house.

In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPZA) said the incident occurred on November 2, 2025, at around 8 pm, when the offender entered the woman’s room while she was asleep.

He undressed her while she lay on the sofa. The victim’s brother saw the offender, prompting him to flee.

He returned home around 1 am the following day and was confronted and subsequently arrested after the matter was reported to the police.

The offender pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault at Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court and was sentenced to seven months imprisonment, with three months suspended, leaving him to serve an effective four months in jail.
