The July 31, 2013 harmonised elections, that saw Zanu-PF clinching a more than two-thirds majority in Parliament, have seen the agents of regime change coming in full force in order to discredit the new popular Government with various initiatives meant to demean the revolutionary party`s victory.
Some claimed that elections were rigged and went on to claim that the country was doomed as the Zanu-PF Government was not going to revive the economy.
Just before the Zanu-PF Government was to come up with the 2014 National Budget and its programmes of action, prophets of doom were already prophesying the demise of the economy with Zanu-PF being said to have failed to resuscitate it.
To them, the new Zanu-PF Government was nothing but only a Government with no direction on how the country can be run. Some, especially the losing MDC-T, are still saying that the country should brace itself for any early elections six months after the country has successfully held the harmonised elections.
Media houses in the country went on to cite MDC-T officials saying Zanu-PF was clueless and that MDC-T was going to hold a conference before the end of the year to strategise how best to revive the economy.
Surprisingly, the same MDC-T party, with its vociferous people, was for the past four years in Government but failed to put forward mechanisms to bring bread and butter on the tables of workers and ordinary people.
People should realise that MDC-T’s calls for a fresh election when the people had already openly given Zanu-PF the thumbs-up, is a regime change agenda which is being pushed by their funders who also failed to the endorse elections although a lot of international observers certified them as free and fair.
This move by MDC-T is meant to make sure Zanu-PF is diverted from looking into the revival of the economy and focus more on trivial issues like that. MDC-T, which thrives more on the suffering of the people, is calling for elections at a time Government and civil servants are negotiating salary increments. The issue here is expertly coined in a way to make sure that civil servants go to the negotiating table with demands that are unrealistic so that Government is blackmailed.
So MDC-T wants to seek relevance where it is not necessary
The truth of the matter is that the regime change agenda is still hovering around us and Zanu-PF should be on the lookout.
Now the country is witnessing closure of companies and such could not be said to be a coincidence with the call for new elections by MDC-T but it is another regime change tactic.
The liquidity crunch which the country is experiencing is another tactic of the regime change agenda meant to cause disgruntlement among the people so that they revolt against the Zanu-PF Government.
Indications on the ground show that the movements of money in informal circulation is more than that in formal circulation leading to suspicions that agents of regime change are behind such moves. So the liquidity crunch could be a man made approach meant to cause unnecessary confusion among the people who will then blame the Zanu-PF Government.
As if the closure of companies and the liquidity crunch are not enough signs of regime change agenda, the Progressive Teachers` Union of Zimbabwe (PTUZ) is also planning to go on strike as a way of forcing government to award civil servants a salary increment. A close analysis of events could reveal that all the shenanigans being preferred here point to regime change agenda.
One wonders why PTUZ would rush into planning for a job action when Government and the workers` unions are still negotiating for salary adjustments.
What makes PTUZ rush into calling for a strike as if all avenues for salary increment negotiations have been closed?
Why is it that the PTUZ is not patient enough in its negotiations with Government when other workers’ unions are still hopeful that the government will heed their call for salary adjustments? Is it by coincidence that when MDC-T is calling for new elections in the country, the PTUZ is also calling for a job action? This indicates that the PTUZ and MDC-T are agents of regime change as their actions points to that.
MDC-T`s calling for new elections and the PTUZ`s job action call are meant to make the economy scream further at the time when companies are closing. Their objectives are to make sure that the Zanu-PF Government is discredited and so that people become disgruntled to an extent of holding mass demonstrations as we saw in the “Arab Spring”.
The regime change war is still on and those protagonists of it are now using all means at their disposal to make sure that they achieve their objectives.
