THE Regina Mundi Old Students Association (Rosa) on Sunday donated a soccer kit to their former school, Regina Mundi Secondary School, which is in Lupane District.  The donation was made at the Roman Catholic St Mary’s Cathedral in Bulawayo with the patron of Rosa, Archbishop Father Alex Thomas, presenting the donation to Regina Mundi Secondary School headmaster Munsaka Sililo.
Rosa, which is chaired by former student Mandla Moyo, donated a complete kit.
Former students in attendance at the donation were Zifa Junior League secretary-general for the Bulawayo Province Faith Dube, Milton Gorerino, Nkosilathi Sibanda, Scotch Ndlovu and Abraham Mathonsi.
Speaking after the donation, Gorerino said they intend to rebuild brand Regina Mundi Secondary School as they strive to uplift the standards of their former school.
Sililo said they were grateful to see former students giving back to their roots.
“The donation shows that they remember their roots, indoda yindoda isebenza ibuyela ekhaya, we hope that this is not the end but a stepping stone and we hope they will engineer our school development with material and ideas,” said Sililo.
Moyo challenged other  former students to support the initiative and join the group as they communicate through social networks such as Facebook through their page Regina Mundi Rosa.
