Rehabilitation of Bulawayo-Victoria highway resumes

THE rehabilitation of the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Highway resumed on Monday much to the delight of the motoring public.

ZBC News caught up with the contractor at Mbembesi in Lupane District of Matabeleland North Province along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls Highway.  The road is a key economic enabler as it links the tourism capital of Victoria Falls to other parts of the country.

It also connects Zimbabwe with regional countries including Botswana and Zambia through Victoria Falls, Pandamatenga and Kazungula Border Posts.  The Second Republic continues to prioritise the development of infrastructure such as roads and airports as they are the superstructure to carry the country towards an upper middle-income society by 2030.
