The Zimbabwe Red Cross Society has built a temporary structure for a Hopley Zone 6 family after their house collapsed due to heavy rains that pounded the country in recent weeks.The family also lost its six-year old daughter when the house collapsed.
The relief agency also donated blankets, kitchen utensils and buckets while a temporary toilet had also been pitched up for the family.
Harare South ward one councillor, Mrs Rai Gwenambira hailed the Red Cross for the support.
“We are very grateful for the assistance we are receiving from Red Cross in this ward,” she said.
“They have not only helped us, but they also supported other flood victims countrywide.”
