Prophet Walter Magaya has accused ZIFA Normalization Committee chairperson Lincoln Mutasa of lying after the football boss condemned the Heart Stadium.
The Heart Group, owners of Heart Stadium in Harare, have asked Mutasa to retract his recent media statements or face a US$1 million lawsuit in damages for lying about the status of their stadium.
ZIFA claimed to have inspected the stadium, concluding that it has no proper media rooms and that its ablution facilities were not in order.
However, through his lawyer, Admire Rubaya, Magaya said the association lied, accusing Mutasa of having an “insatiable” desire to destroy everything he has built in the name of football.”
In a letter of demand dated August 6 and addressed to ZIFA, the Heart Group said Mutasa or the association have never been to the stadium for inspection purposes.
