Rev Sithole Gala lights up Chipinge

The musical gala to honour national hero, Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole lived up to it’s billing with various artistes putting up impressive and unforgettable performances in front of a packed revellers.

Scores of people thronged Chipinge showgrounds where over 30 artistes performed live in a gig meant to celebrate the legacy of the late national hero Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole. 

The show started around 6pm on Saturday and ran into Sunday morning with fans left clamouring for more.

Revellers drawn across the country thronged the event. It was a day to remember for the entertainment-starved Chipinge community who managed to watch prominent artistes perform live.

Local artistes were not left out with Grade 3 learner Esnath Mhlanga stealing the limelight with her poem “Magigwana” which chronicles the life history of Reverend Ndabaningi Sithole. Dancehall artiste Enzo Ishall was outstanding and so was Chief Hwenje

New sungura kids Tatenda and Esau Macheso wrapped up the event giving fans their new offering as well as performing their father’s hits.
