Cowdray Park will explode with Rhumba fever this Thursday as top stars take the stage for a free musical bash during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Maqhoba Chef De Grand Smart City.

The event, organised by the Community Development Committee, promises nonstop entertainment from 10AM to 6PM with a star-studded lineup that includes Clement Magwaza, the blazing hot Mxolisi “Mr Bones” Ndlovu, crowd favourites Insimbi ZeZhwane, the energetic Godolude, Mlambos Express Band, Ndux Junior, Dubia Masters, Cosmas Mpofu, Thawulo Skuza, Abigail Mabuza and the legendary Chase Skuza.

“This is not a show to miss,” declared Community Development Committee Secretary Mr More Mangena. “We’re launching the Maqhoba Chef De Grand Smart City from Ema Ten in Cowdray Park to Nyamandlovu Road. We’re bringing the big guns of Rhumba to draw the crowd so people can learn about this exciting development.”

The upcoming smart city aims to decongest Bulawayo by offering everything from industrial parks and hotels to banks and education institutions. Plans are already underway to engage Umguza Rural District Council for more land to ensure massive expansion

On the entertainment side, Chase Skuza vowed to deliver fireworks.
“We will give our 100 percent. I’m the elder in this industry and when I hit the stage, I’m home. Music runs in the Skuza family blood. We’re also working on our new album ‘Inhlonipho,’ which is coming soon,” he said.

TK of Dubia Masters promised a wild fusion of Rhumba and Pantsula dance.
“We are busy preparing. Fans should come watch Jesiyakhe live. We haven’t performed much in Bulawayo and I know people are hungry. They won’t be disappointed,” said the guitar wizard.

Mr Bones, known for his viral track Bangihlangabeze nge Case aka Faka Two Phezu Kwebhodlela, said he’s ready to shake the ground.

“After moving back from South Africa, I’ve been in high demand across Matabeleland. Fans should come through. We’ll play all their favourites. Since this is a day show, even the elderly can join in the fun,” he said.

Cowdray Park is ready to dance, and Rhumba royalty is bringing the heat.
