Rhumba musician Mxolisi “Mr Bones” Ndlovu narrowly escaped death on Saturday afternoon after his vehicle developed a mechanical fault, veered off the road, and crashed into trees.

The accident occurred around 2pm at Sinotsi while the popular artiste was travelling to his rural home in the Garamtata area of Bulilima District.

Speaking after the incident, Mr Bones expressed gratitude for surviving the crash.
“I’m grateful to God for being alive. The car developed a fault, and it went off the road, but the most important thing is that I am alive. To my fans, thank you for your prayers and good wishes, ngizabasharp,” he said.

The Faka Two Phezu Kwebhodlela hitmaker said he sustained minor body pains but assured fans that his condition is not serious.

Although he escaped with his life, his vehicle, which he bought last year, was extensively damaged in the crash.

Fellow artistes and fans have since taken to social media to send messages of support and well-wishes.
“We wish our brother a speedy recovery. Let us keep him in our prayers,” wrote fellow artiste Awa Khiwe. – @themkhust
