Road safety thrown out of the window

Wilson Kakurira

As Zimpapers and some transport operators prepare to hold the safe driving campaign and conference this Friday to address the increase in road traffic accidents countrywide, these passengers were recently captured as they rode precariously in car trunks along Mutoko Road.

Illegal pirate taxis have become an eyesore on the country’s roads and the drivers’ recklessness has been attributed to some of the road traffic accidents.

This is despite efforts by the police to ensure sanity on the roads. The ZRP is on record imploring drivers to be responsible on the roads to save lives.
