Robber arrested in high-speed chase

A 21-YEAR-OLD suspected armed robber has been arrested in Saruwe, Mashonaland West Province, following a high-speed chase with the police.

Moses Bunou had reportedly attacked a security guard at a farm before stealing armoured cables and speeding off in a Honda Fit, resulting in the high-speed chase.

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “On May 12, 2025, police in Saruwe reacted swiftly to a report of robbery and arrested Moses Bunou, aged 21, after a speed chase, for attacking a security guard before stealing armoured cables at Scotdale Farm, Saruwe.

“The arrest led to the recovery of the armoured cables and the suspect’s getaway car, a Honda Fit, registration number AEY 6065.”
