Robbers seize $100 000 at gunpoint

TWO suspected armed robbers from Bulawayo have appeared in court for allegedly robbing a motorist of over $100 000 and car keys at gunpoint.

MacDonald Tinashe Majaya (35) allegedly connived with Oliver Mhlanga (36) of Hillcrest suburb and robbed Mr Blessmore Sibanda of Nkulumane suburb.

The two were in the company of an unidentified accomplice who is still at large when they allegedly approached Mr Sibanda while he was parked outside his house waiting for his children to open the gate.

The duo was not asked to plead to armed robbery when they appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Ms Gladmore Mushove.

They were remanded in custody to March 3.
