The robbers stole property, including a Toyota Fortuner valued at U$53 000, cash US$16 330 , various shoes worth US$4 400 and other valuables, all valued at US$122 000 of which US$55 300 was later recovered.

On the second charge, it is alleged that on the same day, at around 1am, the gang allegedly targeted another victim, Kudakwashe Mutandwa, at his home in Paradise, Highfield, Harare.

They reportedly forced entry into the house, threatened him with an unidentified firearm, and brutally assaulted him with a whipping rope and a hammer, targeting his knees.

The robbers stole various items, including a refrigerator, stove, TV set, motor vehicle (Subaru), Itel cellphone and a Samsung S23.

The stolen property was valued at US$6 000, but none of it has been recovered.
