A row ensued between the two Zimbabwean housemates, leading to their disqualification from the Big Brother StarGame on Tuesday.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Saturday Leisure by telephone from Harare yesterday, Roki said local fans should not sacrifice Maneta over what happened, as he was to blame.
“I never thought my feud with Maneta while we were in the house would go this far.
“When I poured Maneta some water I thought as housemates she was going to take it lightly,” he said.
Roki said he was prepared to do anything to mend bridges between him and Maneta.
“We have been friends with Maneta way before we went for Big Brother and I am going to work hard in ironing out our differences.
“At the moment I am praying, hoping that she would take my apology,” he said.
Roki said Zimbabweans should learn to accept Maneta as she did nothing wrong.
“I have been looking at different comments on different social networks and I discovered that fans are against what Maneta did.
“But I am urging them to forgive her as we are all human beings who make mistakes,” he said.
Back to his music career, Roki said his team was working on a video that would feature all the housemates he stayed with.
“The video that we are working on is going to bring together all the former housemates and already more than four guys have confirmed to be part of this project.
“Some of the guys who will be part of this project are Zeinab, Mampi, Lady May, DKB and Maneta,” he said.
Roki said the video would be distributed to different South African television stations that include Channel O and SABC.
“We want to prove to the region that even though we were evicted we are a talented group of musicians,” he said.
Pauline Gundidza, ex-wife to Roki said her husband was happy to be home and was focusing on his musical career.
“Roki was disappointed by their expulsion with Maneta but he has learnt to accept that and already focusing on his musical career,” she said.
Maneta is still in South Africa and is expected today.
Roki and Maneta were disqualified for contravening the Big Brother violence rules. They had a fight where Roki poured water on Maneta. She responded by pouring a cleaning liquid on his face, inflicting harm on him.
This action forced Big Brother to send them home as previously Maneta had threatened to stab Roki.
