A HARARE man is at odds with his former lover over the custody of their child.
Fidelis Chidhakwa said he was unhappy with his former lover Patricia Nyorova’s behaviour of frequenting where he stays, after their divorce.
Fidelis, who had custody of the child, said Patricia was using the minor to get back at him.
He said this at the Harare Civil Court where he applied for protection order against Patricia. Magistrate Sharon Mashavire presided over their matter.
Fidelis said: “We divorced in September last year but she keeps returning to my house, spending the whole night at my doorstep.
“She leaves the child with me then, after some days, she comes back and takes the child again.
“I want her to give me peace, if she wants to keep the child, she can do that or let me look after my child rather than tossing my child around.
“She does not have a place to stay but she refuses to give me my child.”
In response, Patricia said she wanted custody of her child.
“All I want is custody of my child,” she said.
Magistrate Mashavire gave custody to Patricia.
