The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Zimbabwe, Mr Andrey Kushakov, said this in an interview in Harare to mark the federations’ national day celebrated every June 12 since 1994.
“We are looking at more Russian companies to invest in mining as well as infrastructure development,” Ambassador Kushakov said.
He said the country would also continue offering scholarships to Zimbabweans to study in Russia.
Russia has always been Zimbabwe’s all- weather friend and has supported the country at the United Nations despite the United States and Britain’s bid to have the country on the UN Security Council agenda.
The two countries also have an important history, which dates back to the days of the liberation struggle. Russia has played a pivotal role in freeing the world from tyranny and supported liberation movements.
