A new clubbing experience awaits revellers this weekend when Club H2O hosts two top-rated South African DJs Cndo and Dino Bravo in a show organised by Eventworx. First to warm up the wheels of steel will be DJ Bravo who will perform tonight alongside resident DJ Smoove as well as Game Recognise Game.

Dino Bravo is an accomplished house and electro DJ who is also known as “Your Mama’s Favourite DJ”. The party goes a gear up tomorrow night with the phenomenal DJ Cndo and Lady Crème with their unique brand of funky house, afro and a smattering of electro.

Anyone who knows their kwaito will be wowed by their innovative mixes and sheer talent when it comes to music selection and delivery.
Lyndon Kapuya of Club H2O said the gigs are expected to set the tone for the festive season with many more shows coming at the hangout.

“This weekend is going to set the tone for what we know is going to be a fun-filled and exciting festive season. So we say to the party people out there don’t miss out on these great events and others that are lined up for you.

“DJ Cndo and Lady Creme will be ably supported by our resident DJ Smoove. It looks like it’s going to be another memorable gig,” Kapuya said.

DJ Cndo is not new to Zimbabwean fans as she has thrown big parties in Harare and Bulawayo. Born Sindisiwe Zungu in 1984 at Mandeni, DJ Cndo developed an interest in deejaying when she was studying at Mangosuthu Technikon and started learning how to mix at Durban’s Finest DJ Academy. She later mastered mixing playing at every gig in Mangosuthu Technikon where she mixed tracks better than most male DJs.

According to Afrotainment website, in 2005 Durban’s Finest saw her potential and invited her under the Durban’s Finest umbrella. After that she started playing in most Durban’s Finest parties around Durban.

In 2006 Gagasi FM was launched in KZN and Durban’s Finest were given a show G Session Fridays 6-10pm. It’s a mix show playing hottest tunes which gave an update of what was happening in gigs in town. As Cndo is Durban’s Finest she became part of G Session mixing on the radio live every Friday and people loved her style.

She was featured as a resident DJ for 13 episodes on “Jika Majika” when the programme was recording Durban talent. She also appeared on SABC 1 programme “Seskhona” when they were showing the event called Durban Rocks 2006, one of the best events that attracted more than 5 000 people in December 2006.

Her first work was seen on the Gagasi FM compilation where she recorded a song with Professor the producer of Woze Durban – T’zozo En Professor. Cndo released her debut album “Finest Lady of House” Volume 1 making her the first black female DJ to release a house compilation in South Africa.

The album climbed the charts in all record stores selling like hot cakes. The album was nominated for the 2007 Metro FM Best compilation Award against giants in the house scene DJ Sbu and DJ Oskido.

In 2009 DJ Cndo released another summer blazing album “DJ CNDO Finest Lady of House” Vol3. In this album DJ Cndo worked with the best producers of South Africa including DJ Cleo, Dr Duda, Professor (Tzozo & Professor) and of course DJ Tira and Big Nuz. Among other people featured was Phila and Afrotainments number one.

This album did really well and earned DJ Cndo a South African Music Award Song of the Year nomination.
DJ Cndo returned in 2011 with a banging album for the summer. She is famous for delivering nothing but dance floor fillers and on Volume 4 did just that.
