REHABILITATION of Jopa–Coppa Road has begun following the intervention of aspiring Zanu-PF National Assembly candidate for Chimanimani East constituency, Cde Joshua Sacco. In an interview, Cde Sacco said he engaged a local contractor and two local authorities — Chimanimani Rural District Council and Chipinge Rural District Council — to rehabilitate the road, with the first phase now underway.
Cde Sacco said the 40km Jopa-Coppa Road was one of the most worn out roads that required urgent attention.
He said the rehabilitation of the road would improve the economic activities of the people of Chipinge and Chimanimani.
Headman Chivhunze of Chipinge said farmers in Rusitu Valley and Jopa would be able to sell their produce because they would soon be able to access markets easily.
