Saints treasurer buried

LONG-STANDING Zimbabwe Saints supporter who was earlier this year drafted into the club’s executive as treasurer, Tendai Nyandoro who died on Monday, was buried in the City on Wednesday.

He was was 54. Nyandoro collapsed at his Mzilikazi home and was buried at Umvutshwa Cemetery. His service was attended by close to a thousand people from Bulawayo’s diverse community.

A product of Mzilikazi Primary and High Schools, Nyandoro grew up in the suburb and started supporting Chikwata in his early years.

With Barbourfields Stadium, a stone’s throw from his l37 home, he got to know all first team players at both Highlanders and Zimbabwe Saints.

A member of the Chartered Accountants body following training in the field in his early 20s, Nyandoro always wished for transparency in the running of Saints and its finances.

Zimbabwe Saints chairman Lloyd Munhanga described Nyandoro’s death as a loss to the Chikwata family.

Nyandoro was a well-known personality in Bulawayo.
