SAKUNDA Holdings, the main sponsors of Highlanders and Dynamos will in the coming days conduct a symbolic handover of a house they bought for Bosso legend Madinda Ndlovu in Bulawayo’s Malindela suburb last year.
On Tuesday last week, Sakunda Holdings presented a magnificent house to the late football legend George Shaya’s family located in Harare’s Madokero Estates.
Shaya, who died at the age of 77 on August 24, 2021, was honoured posthumously by Sakunda Holdings through a US$120 000 house for his surviving family.
The gift was announced on the same day that Sakunda Holdings unveiled a sponsorship package for Highlanders and Dynamos. Ndlovu and Moses Chunga were also gifted with houses worth US$90 000 each.
Sports broadcaster Charles Mabika was also honoured with a house for his role in soccer coverage. It turns out that Ndlovu’s house was purchased last year and he is already staying in the property located in Bulawayo’s leafy suburb of Malindela.
Nqobile Magwizi, the Sakunda Holdings project coordinator confirmed that the Bosso legend already has the house promised to him.
“He (Madinda) already received the house. However, we will do a symbolic handover after Easter, we are still to come up with a date but that is the plan. The house is in Malindela,’’ said Magwizi.
