“The response is good and many people love the songs on the album. That was enough to encourage me to continue with live performances.”When Sam Dondo launched his album “Dyara Munamato”, pundits nailed the young musician for failing to rise to the occasion. Dondo who made striding efforts to introduce himself on the local market said he was working hard to push his brand.In an interview the young musician said after the release of his debut album he was working to give people polished acts.

“Now that the album is on the market we are now making efforts to give people polished acts at our live shows,” he said.

He has lined up a number of live performances in the capital this weekend.

Tonight he will be performing at The Volt along Samora Machel Avenue before taking his act to Bar Rouge at LongCheng Mall in Belvedere.

He will be supported by Cindy Munyavi at the shows.

“The response is good and many people love the songs on the album.

“That was enough to encourage me to continue with live performances,” he said.

Dondo is optimistic that his approach to the industry will bear some fruits in the near future.

“We have a different approach to the industry. As I speak we have some new songs we will be playing at shows,” he said.

The album “Kudyara Minamato” has nine tracks that do justice to several social issues.

Songs on the album are “Zviuya Zviri Mberi”, “ Kudyara Minamato”, “Nhamo Ndaramba” “Vauya Neni”, “ Dzungu”, “ Kamberevere”, “ Pekauende” “Varegerei” and “ Anonzwa”

“We are trying our best to give people good acts and we will leave no stone unturned when it comes to music,” he said.

He thanked Impala Car Rentals for their effort to nurture his talent as well as pushing his music.

“Music needs serious marketing strategies and they have been instrumental in marketing my music.

“Such companies are instrumental for the development of the music industry in Zimbabwe,” he said.
