ELIAH Samaringa is hopeful he will get it right this time around at the Mr and Ms Zimbabwe contest at Sharon School in Harare tomorrow.
The Harare hulk is confident that he is now ready for the prestigious event and looking up to the challenge. “Preparations are going alright, and I am ready for the podium as I started my preparations in April. “It has been five months of intense preparations. It’s going to be a tight competition because there are some new guys coming for the challenge.
“I give credit to Wellington Pasipanodya, whom I train hard with and I don’t want to disappoint him especially after all the effort we have put in for this contest.
“I have hopes after coming out fourth in the Mr Zimbabwe 2017, in the up to 80 kg, having placed third in the Mr Zim 2014 lightweight and Mr Harare lightweight in 2012,’’ Samaringa said. While Samaringa is optimistic, Sinini Khumalo is dejected that she will not be part of the 2018 Mr and Ms Zimbabwe. Khumalo has been working hard for the past three weeks as she monitored her diet but had to pull out as she is suffering from stomach bug which has derailed her preparations. “I really wanted to take part, but I can no longer be part of this after I had a stomach disorder a few days before the past three weeks to prepare.”
