PREPARATIONS for the 15th edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo that kicks off at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo today had been finalised yesterday.

A visit to the exhibition grounds by a Chronicle news crew yesterday revealed that many of the exhibitors were ready for the first day of the event, which is now being held in Bulawayo for the 5th straight edition.

Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr Godfrey Koti said all exhibitors are on the ground and will be ready by the time the expo kicks off.

“We’re happy that all our exhibitors are now on the ground putting finishing touches to their stands. From the progress I’ve seen thus far, everyone will be ready for the first day of the expo,” Mr Koti said.

Exhibitors include the ZTA, Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (Zimparks), the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry, industry players including renowned operators such as the N1 Group of Hotels, Glen Lodge, Zambezi Drift, Air Zimbabwe, and Ethiopian Airways.

The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo is a signature event and an ideal meeting place for developing quality business relationships and establishing strategic business partnerships with world tourism players.

The Expo is expected to help reposition destination Zimbabwe into a world class marketing platform that will also in turn, give the country the requisite receipts for the tourism sector. @RealSimbaJemwa
