As the highly anticipated 16th Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo draws closer, tourism operators in Zimbabwe are optimistic about the prospects that lie ahead.

The expo is scheduled to take place from 12-14 October in Bulawayo.
President of the Tourism Business Council of Zimbabwe Mr Vengai Nhau expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming annual event.
In a statement, he highlighted the readiness of the industry to participate in the event emphasising the expo’s significance as the first major event taking place after the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions.
He believes this year’s event will serve as a springboard for the relaunch of Zimbabwe’s tourism sector, which has shown remarkable signs of recovery in the post-Covid period.
“We believe that this event will offer us a platform to showcase the resilience and strength of our tourism industry, which has been on a great recovery path,” Mr Nhau said.
The event is highly anticipated by all stakeholders within the tourism sector, as it provides a valuable opportunity to connect and learn.
“This event serves as an opportunity to connect with industry peers, stay informed about the latest trends and forge partnerships that contribute to the growth and success of our industry,”he said.
Mr Nhau extended a warm welcome to buyers, exhibitors, and all participants, recognising their crucial role in uplifting the tourism industry.
He encouraged exhibitors to be part of this remarkable event, emphasising their presence and collaboration as essential for the success and growth of the industry.
