SANYATI Rural District Council has set aside $163 000 to improve the ambulance fleet and access to health facilities in the district. Clinics such as Ordoff, Patchway, Blackmorevale, Chegutu 6, Muuyu, Chirikiti and Sanyati rely on one ambulance.
In an interview yesterday, Sanyati chief executive Mr Achim Shadaya said council had included the contributions of stakeholders from all the 18 wards of the district.
“The adoption of the Sanyati Rural District Council’s 2018 annual budget followed extensive consultation meetings that were conducted in all the 18 wards with a view to capture stakeholder contributions in priority project areas,” said Mr Shadaya.
“We are working towards provision of health services to all residents in 2018, so we have set aside close to $163 000 for health.” Mr Shadaya said t good roads and adequate ambulances were needed.
