Easter festivities are about to ramp up as South African emergent Amapiano superstar Aymos (pictured) is set to touch base in Bulawayo on Sunday for his maiden performance in the city.
The show dubbed “All White Party Featuring Aymos” is being curated by Fife Street Events and will be held at The Boundary.
Fife Street Events’ director Kayla Johnson said everything is in place to host the Umama and Fatela singer.
“We’re well-prepared to host Aymos. As is our mandate of offering quality entertainment, his profile fits the bill. We’re getting done with the odds and ends as far as paperwork is concerned.
“Everything to do with his transportation and welfare has been sorted out so it should be a memorable Easter weekend for patrons,” said Johnson.
Last year proved to be a tough one for the event organisers with multiple glitches as some artistes became no-shows. Johnson said they are ready to correct those wrongs this time around.
“This year, we want to do things differently after treating last year as a learning curve. We made mistakes and we’re trying to pick ourselves up from that.
“We learnt our lesson and we’re on a drive to strategically place our shows to avoid clashes with other event organisers.”
What’s a show without local flavour? Local wheel-spinners DJ Wellyonz, Mzoe, Henry HP, Kead Wikead, Mufali, Mlungu Omnyama, Brownie and Mtkay Ntwana will be Aymos’ supporting acts.
In the past, Fife Street Events has managed to lure South African acts such as the Scorpion Kings, Sjava and Daliwonga. – @MbuleloMpofu
