South African gospel sensation Dumi Mkokstad and Zimbabwean gospel greats Minister Michael Mahendere and Siza Mdlongwa, are set to perform at Snowy’s Sizomkhonza concert at Harvest House International Church (HHIC) in Bulawayo on Saturday.
Event organiser, Snowy said that the concert is an act of worship and appreciation for God’s grace.
“The theme ‘Sizomkhonza’ is inspired by our desire to simply worship God without asking or demanding anything from Him,” said Snowy.
“We want to appreciate the gift of life. Many times, we approach God with a list of demands and prayer requests, which is not wrong, but as we start the year, we want to focus on gratitude. Above all, we hope people’s lives will be transformed because when we gather to praise God, He hears our cry, receiving our worship as a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Snowy revealed that the concert stemmed from individuals who wanted to celebrate his talent.
“This event was made possible by a collaboration of various companies. In Bulawayo, we often celebrate people only after they are gone, but this time, people want to celebrate me after Mkokstad’s comments on my talent,” he said.

He said that he hopes his collaboration with Mkokstad will materialise. Last year, the potential partnership between the musicians was sparked during the Spirit of Praise Volume 10 concert held at HHIC where Mkokstad expressed his admiration for Snowy’s talent and his desire to work with the budding artiste. At the concert, Snowy delivered an electrifying performance, captivating the audience and earning praises from Mkokstad.
“On the collaboration with Mkokstad, nothing has been finalised yet but I believe this interaction will yield fruitful results,” Snowy said. –
