SAUSSA games preps under way

CHINHOYI University of Technology (CUT) will be the venue of the 20th edition of the Southern African Universities Staff Sports Association (SAUSSA) games from 2 to 7 December. 

The five-day sporting extravaganza will see 18 universities from eight countries take part.

The association comprises affiliated member universities from Southern African countries that include Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Participants for this year’s event will comprise Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST), Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Sciences (BUAN), University of Botswana (UB), University of Eswatini (UNESWA),  National University of Lesotho (NUL), University of Malawi (UNIMA), University of Namibia (UNAM), University of Fort Hare (UFH), North West University (NWU) and Sefako Makgatho University (SMU).

Other competing teams will be University of Limpopo (UL), University of South Africa (UNISA), Walter Sisulu University (WSU), University of Zambia (UNZA), Africa University (AU), Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT), National University of Science and Technology (NUST), University of Zimbabwe (UZ) and Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU).
