ZIMBABWE’S leading professional golfer, Scott Vincent is sitting on top of the standings at the Asian Tour Order of Merit (OoM) following the conclusion of the Mandiri Indonesia Open on Sunday.

Vincent has accumulated 1 041.80 points in eight tournaments this season.

He has one win and three top 10 finishes in his eight tournaments. He won the International Series Morocco while finishing tied for eighth at the Smart Infinity Philippine Open (tied for eighth), tied for 10th at the International Series India and tied for fourth at the Kolon Korea Open.

He finished tied for 12th at the GS Caltex Maekyung Open. He missed the cut at the 125th U.S Open, International Series Japan and International Series Macau.

Most of Vincent’s points came from his victory in Morocco where he collected 787.50 points.

Vincent is also sitting in second place in the International Series Rankings with 196.04 points in four tournaments, following the International Series Morocco. He is behind Lucas Herbert with 196.04 points.

The Zimbabwean pro first showed his enormous potential in 2018 when he was fifth on the Asian Tour OoM after finishing in the top-10 nine times, including three runner- up finishes. He earned his Asian Tour card in 2016 via Qualifying School, a year after turning pro.

In June 2022 he recorded his breakthrough Asian Tour win at the inaugural International Series England, his second victory in two weeks. The previous week he had won the Gate Way To The Open Mizuno Open on the Japan Golf Tour Organisation, his third victory on that tour. He finished 2022 on top of The International Rankings to earn a ‘golden ticket’ onto the LIV Golf League.

He played on the league for two seasons representing Iron Heads GC, twice finishing fourth individually in 2023.
