Scottland coach in Tanzania

ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League side Scottland have moved to fully comply with the rules and regulations of the game after sending their first assistant coach William Nyasulu to Tanzania where he is undertaking the first phase of acquiring a CAF C coaching badge.

Nyasulu is among the coaches that do not have a minimum CAF B licence required for head coaches in Division One football. Assistant coaches are required to be holders of a Caf C or ZIFA Level Four licence.

NRSL league has been enforcing the rules and regulations banning all unqualified personnel from taking the leading role and that saw Nyasulu being among the casualties. He has been demoted and replaced by former Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe.

And Nyasulu, who already started his classes last Sunday in Tanzania, said he was fully focused on ensuring that he obtained the coaching qualifications so that he can properly contribute to the team’s objectives and targets of gaining promotion into the top-flight league.

“I’m very happy that I have finally managed to enrol at a coaching school in Tanzania after spending a long time working without the required papers.

“I’m also very grateful for my club Scottland leadership, especially its founder honourable (Pedzai) Sakupwanya for providing me with this life-changing opportunity to further my coaching career.

“They showed me that they have love and trust in me when they allowed me to coach the team knowing that I didn’t have the required papers and funded me to come here in Tanzania to obtain the required coaching papers.

“I’m indebted to them and I’m going to fully utilise the opportunity so that when I pass I will impact the knowledge to my team and help it achieve its set objectives and targets,” said Nyasulu.
