Scottland……… (1) 2
Highlanders…..(1) 1

Scottland came from behind to claim a crucial win over giants Highlanders in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Rufaro Stadium this afternoon.

Terrence Dzvukamanja nodded home the equaliser to cancel out Bosso’s lead.

Highlanders surged ahead after 17 minutes with a goal from Mafious Chihweta.

The Scottland defenders were caught off guard in a poor offside trap when Reason Sibanda darted into space on the right.

The forward paced into the box and then took his time before releasing a cut back that found Chihweta.

The diminutive winger made no mistake with a simple tap in. But the lead was shortlived.

Mid-season arrival Dzvukamanja found the equaliser for Scottland after beating goalkeeper Reward Muza at the near post from a corner kick.

Scottland could have claimed the lead in the 34th minute but Musona failed to connect a high ball from Dzvukamanja, which landed on him at the back post.

Scottland, now on 37 points, managed to slash the gap between them and the leading pack as they are now six points away from log leaders Simba Bhora.

Scottland and Bosso played a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Barbourfields.
