The Sakupwanya family has come together to establish a new, ambitious football club set to compete in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One Soccer League. The team, named Mombe Yaora, the Hunters, aims to be a formidable force in the league.

Speaking to ZBC, club CEO and former player Terrance Malunga confirmed that the team acquired its franchise from Herentals. He emphasized that Mombe Yaora is owned by members of the Sakupwanya family, who are relatives of Honourable Pedzisayi “Scott” Sakupwanya, the owner of the flamboyant Premier Soccer League club Scottland.

The team’s head coach, Nesbert Saruchena, will lead the squad as they prepare for their debut season.

“This is also part of community development. The club has a strong management structure, a capable coaching team, and a talented squad. We are ready to compete in the Northern Region Division One,” said Malunga.
